Over-the-Road Team Driver - Home Weekends
Earn Up to 100K + 6K Sign-on

Job Overview:

Komatsu Mining in Charleroi, PA (off the Bentleyville exit of Route 70) is looking for a class A CDL candidate who can drive a truck with capacity up to 80,000 lbs. gross to transport mining equipment and parts to and from specified destinations (warehouses).

• Earn up to $100K annually
  
• Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, vacation, holiday, and personal days.
  
• Position includes a $6,000 sign-on bonus
  
• This is a team position - both drivers are paid mileage when the truck is moving and downtime when it's not.
  
• Home every weekend (Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun, or Sun/Mon).
  
• No loading or unloading freight, just chain/strap and go.
  
• New 2023 Peterbilt trucks.
  Team Details:
  
  We are open to hiring established teams; however we do need to follow our Union CBA guidelines which assures first pick to our most senior drivers. As drivers build their careers here at Komatsu, they will move higher onto the Seniority list, which will give them more flexibility to request their preferred team partner. We operate a small crew of just 11 drivers (5 teams with 1 fill-in/spare driver). Although we do have established teams currently, once a year the routes are re-bid (based on seniority) and new drivers could partner with any of the other 10 drivers, including potentially driving with their preferred team member.
  
  Key Job Responsibilities:
  
  • Ensure shipment is loaded correctly.
    
  • Secure tarp as needed
    
  • Chains and binds down gear case as needed
    
  • Drive truck in 8 10 hour rotations with team member (alternating with 10 hours of off-duty time)
    
  • Provides manifest to warehouse representative at delivery site
    
  • Markets products and services to customer at delivery site
    Qualifications/Requirements:
    
    • Commercial driver s license
      
    • Must pass ICC physical and drug test every 2 years
      
    • Must pass possible random drug test
      
    • Commercial driver s license CDL Class A
      
    • Two years (preferred) Over the Road experience.
