Description:The Nurse Educator is responsible for planning
organizing and an implementing standard of care. The Nurse Educator
will oversee the AMAP and STNA/CNA educational coursesEssential
Duties and Responsibilities:Teamwork with the following and all
other duties and responsibilities assignedEffective leadership that
includes supporting core values, addressing zero tolerance
behaviors and maintaining active communication with clinical and
personal care employeesDevelopment, implementation, and evaluation
of clinical and personal care education and training on industry
required topics and best practicesAssist with the implementation
and development of performance improvementDevelopment,
implementation, and evaluation of an in-house Certified Nursing
Assistant training programAssist clinical leadership team with
clinical rounding protocols and survey compliance.Development,
implementation, and evaluation of clinical and personal care staff
mentoring program to aid in new and tenured employee success and
engagementAssist in the development, implementation, and evaluation
of clinical strategy and organizational positioning to improve and
diversify clinical outcomes and systemsAssist in the development,
implementation, and evaluation of efficient and effective clinical
services software deployment and utilization across all lines of
businessAct as a regulatory, case mix, and quality measure resource
to the clinical services staffProvides clinical services support
for direct care and administrative nursing as requiredImplements
standards of nursing practice reviewing and revising annually to
reflectchanges in nursing practiceServes as a member of
professional staff committees in matters pertaining to Resident
careEffectively plans, organizes, and directs staff to ensure
excellent careWorks in collaboration with department supervisors to
ensure compliance with the Orchards' Mission, as well as federal,
state, and local lawsReviews policies and procedures to assist in
identifying needs that may affect patient careCollaborates with
directors and department supervisors to provide education and
training for changes in policies and procedures, and/or an
introduction to new policies and proceduresParticipates in problem
solving conferences for resident careDetermines if there are
specific educational needsDevelops and implements orientation for
clinical staffReviews competencies annually in collaboration with
clinical directors for all nursing positionsSupports, educates, and
assesses an environment that optimizes resident safety to reduce
errorsDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of federal, state, local
laws, and accreditationstandardsDemonstrates the knowledge of
proper identification and reporting of medical health care
errorsProtects the patient in the event of a medical/healthcare
error and/or assists in medical/health care error
resolutionDemonstrates knowledge of principles of staff
