improvement. We are seeking an experienced mechanic at our shop in
Cuddy, PA.

Summary: Setup and run the machines in the shop, such as lathes,
grinders, presses and milling machines. Maintain and repair
stressing equipment, and manufacture parts needed for the
construction equipment.
Essential Functions:
Use lathes, grinders, presses and milling machines to maintain and
repair plant machinery.
Produce replacement parts and perform scheduled maintenance to
minimize production downtime.
Receive work assignments in the form of work orders or oral
instructions accompanied by blueprints, sketches, drawings, models
of parts, or other work specifications.
Troubleshoot to resolve mechanical and technical problems.
Interpret blueprints to understand machine operations.
Safety and Quality are critical.
Notifies maintenance department or supervisor of recurring
equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality
problems or supplies needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Training:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school diploma a
plus
Employment contingent upon skills assessment, criminal background,
and drug test
Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of machining equipment.
Ability to take direction but also to work independently.
Ability to use hand tools and trades-type tools.
Physical Requirements:
Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending,
lifting/carrying/moving up to 100 pounds continually, able to
travel per the company travel policy, able to concentrate at a high
degree in a busy and noisy construction environment, able to work
in all types of weather.
Mental Requirements:
Rational decision-making ability, attention to detail, makes final
decisions and assumes accountability for them; demonstrates the
ability to separate the people from the problem or situation,
ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibility as
needed.
