Job Description:
System One is assisting a client in the Hubbard, Ohio area
looking to fill positions of: Crew Member of Casting Production
While professional experience and qualifications are key for this

$1,000 Sign-On BONUS
Payrate: $19.50/hr.
Quarterly Bonus (available after 90 Days of employment)
3rd Shift - 8:00pm - 7am, Tuesday (night) - Saturday (morning)
40-45/hr work week/typically
The Crew Member of Casting Production is to work with the casting
of various grades of molten iron into sand molds. Responsible for
the prep of the sand molds prior to pouring as directed by the
supervisor. Once the iron is ready to cast, alloys will need to be
tossed in by hand and temperatures taken. Employee will be
responsible for pulling the handle which physically allows the iron
to pour into the mold and/or reducing the risk of runout by cooling
the iron. Safety is a top priority in this position and requires
that you always wear proper PPE. This is a third shift
position.

What You'll Do:
Read and understand blueprints and spec sheets
Inspect and sweep out molds
Use ladle to extract hot metal from the torpedo
Check temperatures of Iron
Pour iron, skim slag off the top as the flask fills
Add compound to top of iron to assure liquidity of iron
Take samples of iron and record data on cast sheet
Perform additional duties that may become necessary within the
department
Adhere to all housekeeping and safety standards, including the
required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or GED
Excellent attendance record
Must be able to perform work at heights
Must be able to pass physical requirements
Must be able to work around heat and hot metal temperatures
Ability to read blueprints, spec sheets and tape measure or
willingness to learn
Must be willing to work flexible hours and mandatory overtime
Ability to train and receive certification on Crane
Ability to lift 30 - 60 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or foundry environment
Ability to read blueprints, customer specification sheets, and tape
measures
Certified with operating mobile equipment or overhead crane
Skills and Abilities
Ability to learn to run crane and mobile equipment if necessary
Required to stand throughout an 8-hour shift
Working Conditions
Worker is subject to an environment not controlled for heat or
cold. Worker is often subject to greases, oils, dirt, dust, cold
and heat throughout the workday. Worker is subject to work being
performed on or above ground floor and below ground level (ground
pit)
Workers must be able to wear proper PPE (thermal protective
clothing, respirators, hardhat, steel toe metatarsals, and ear
plugs)
This position requires a HEAVY level of physical demand
capability.
Workers frequently stand on concrete flooring.
