THE POSITION

implementing activities in support of the institutional goal of
helping each client reach their full potential. If you are a

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Therapeutic Activities Aide, your work will be focused on
implementing therapeutic activities for assigned clients. This
includes physical, vocational, self-help, audio-visual, personal
hygiene, grooming, and social activities, as well as environmental
excursions and community training. You will have the opportunity to
interact with the clients on an individual or group basis, carrying
out program plans, encouraging client participation, as well as
directing and assisting clients in these activities so that each
client may derive the maximum individual benefits from
participation. Additional responsibilities include:Maintaining
equipment and materialsActing as a resource person for other Aides
and staffRecording attendance of clients engaged in work
trainingObserving and reporting client behaviorTransporting clients

Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
or 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Work schedule may change based on operational needs.Overtime and
travel may be required, as needed.Salary: In some cases, the

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six
months of experience as an Aide Trainee (commonwealth title); orSix
months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring
assistance with daily activities; orAn equivalent combination of
experience and training. Other Requirements:You must meet the PA

must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal
Requirements:A conditional offer of employment will require a
medical examination and drug screening.This position falls under
the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.Under the
