  • Job Details
  • Float Pool position at Weirton Medical Center in West Virginia.
  • Expected to float to multiple units of varying acuity levels, including ED and CCU if within skillset.
  • Common diagnoses include NSTEMI, Pneumonia, Sepsis, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Diverticulitis.
  • Must have 5 years of experience, preferably with 1 year of ICU or ED experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS certification required.
    • ACLS certification required if working in CCU or ED.
    • Must be comfortable managing critical drips in ED and CCU.
      • Schedule Information
      • Self-scheduling with 3 12-hour shifts per week.
      • Every other weekend required.
      • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation.
      • Schedule made out for 4 weeks at a time.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Patient ratios vary depending on the unit: CCU- 1:2-3, IMC- 1:4-6, MS Level 7- 1:5-6, MS Level 8- 1:5-8, Skilled Care- 1:8-10, ED- TBD.
          • Additional Details
          • Charge nurse may take an assignment as needed.
          • Nurses expected to read and interpret telemetry strips.
          • 1 day of orientation and 1 day with a preceptor before working independently.
