Job Description:
About the facility A facility is seeking a Psychiatrist for
locum tenens coverage. About the facility location The facilities
are located around PA. One in Williamsport, Montoursville, and
Lewisburg, PA. About the clinician's workday The reason for the
need is state regulation requiring in-person psychiatric care, as
the majority of their providers are telehealth; an onsite doctor is
necessary to abide by state regulations. Credentialing takes 30-90
days. Typical cases include mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis,
dual mental health, and substance abuse. The patient age range is
all ages, though they are open to doctors who only treat patients
18 and older, as they have a very small number of child and
adolescent patients. The work schedule is part-time (26-30 hours),
with flexibility on how the provider wants to structure their
hours. The position is outpatient, with appointments only, no
walk-ins allowed, one hour for initial evaluations, and 20 minutes
for medication checks and follow-ups. On-call is not required.
Board certification (BC) is preferred but board eligibility (BE) is
