On behalf of our client, Ingenium Technologies is recruiting and evaluating candidates for the position of Tooling Design Engineer. The client manufacturers commercial steel boxes, covers, and prefabricated electrical assemblies.



Position Purpose

Design and development of stamping tooling including strip layouts, simulations, die construction and press specifications
Develop and construct progressive dies and tools for the production of steel outlet boxes
Implement maintenance and repair programs for production tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Inspect completed parts and compare to die specifications for accuracy and quality, adhering to strict manufacturing standards
Identify and resolve problems to minimize downtime and maintain workflow
Work closely with engineering and Master Die Makers to improve die designs and enhance production efficiency
Maintain accurate records of die maintenance, repairs, and modifications for future reference
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and die performance



Education or Formal Training

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.



Software Requirements

Servo Press



Experience Required



2-7 years' experience and proficiency with lean manufacturing tools/elements (VSM, 5S, Std Work, Set-Up Reduction, etc.)
2-7 years' experience with die sensors, vision inspection, and/or related technology with ability to incorporate into tooling or process.
2-7 years' experience with Wire EDM and/or CNC machining technologies.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements including participation in audits.
Ability to troubleshoot stamping operations.
Understanding of ANSI/ISO drawing standards and knowledge of GD&T dimensioning.
Knowledge of tool steels and their applications.



Location: Washington, PA



Position: Direct Hire, no relocation assistance available, no remote work from home/hybrid option available



Travel: 10% domestic
